The only thing that can leave me speechless is the greatest episode of all time. “A Sacrificial Escape” is extremely close to that.
Spoiler Warning! Contains clips from the episode.

I was legitimately sweating when I heard this episode. This is – and I do not say this lightly – one of my favorite episodes of all time.

Celebration time!
I had the same reaction to Dave Arnold at the beginning too!
I was actually expecting it.
I was excited but not surprised when Dave Arnold came on for the parental warning. In the back of my head, I had suspicions about what the title, “A Sacrificial Escape” meant.
I heard this episode before The Good In People and The Secret of the Writer’s Ruse. So this episode got me into the saga. I had no idea what was going on. I remember listening on my portable cd player when the album came out. I was in the car and had to keep all of my opinions to myself because my family was with me. We were on a trip (my family isn’t big fans of the show like me so it was rare when they’d turn it on and listen with me). I had the same feelings when Dave Arnold came on. I was a teenager so I just laughed to myself while inwardly cheering.
